Some upcoming dates

I just updated the Workshops page to include our brand new Saturday Somatics Series at Live&Breathe Pilates. We will run a series of 4 workshops in 4 months, focusing on a theme each Saturday so you can go home with a small routine of movements you can practice without getting overwhelmed. It will be an excellent opportunity to find out how Somatic Movement can help you alleviating pains and aches you might have gotten used to. Find out how good it can feel to move freely, finally have a relaxed back, better mobility in your hips, soften those shoulders and ease or even get rid of Sciatica. Workshops start February 25th and run until May 13th. Each session is 1.5 hours and cost 25€.

I’ve also been invited again to work with the Master of Arts Dance Performance students at University of Limerick in March, as well as teach the professional Morning Class for Dance Ireland end of January. I love connecting with dancers again, supporting them on their never ending journey of seeking more details, more refinement and less restriction (or even pain) in each and every movement. Hanna Somatics is a wonderful tool for everyone, whether highly skilled or wanting to move less clumsy, as it’s not about simple mastering a movement sequence, but rather being able to sense the details of what it means to move at a slow, deliberate pace without presumption. It’s like a moving meditation, a journey into yourself if you will.

For anyone wanting to learn the basics of Hanna Somatics in a methodically built up manner, I still have 2 places available in my upcoming evening class at The Holistic Centre of Ireland in Rathmines (Thursday 6.30 – 8x60min/120€ – start 26.01.).
And if Thursday night doesn’t suit you, how about joining Somatics for Movers and Shakers at Fumbally Court Studio on February 4th? This is a low cost workshop – 20€ for 1.5h!
