What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms and order forms
We collect your name, email address, physical address and phone number to be able to get in touch with you. We do not share any of the information with third parties, other than the plugin that collects the data for us.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
We share the data with the plugins that allow us to run the online booking system. If you prefer to book differently, you can call me on 08774176891. Confirmation of the appointment will be by payment via invoice through stripe.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Any medical data or notes taken in your appointment have to be retained for 7 years according to insurance (this does affect your right to erasure of data). This is because clients have the right to file a complaint for 6 years after the last appointment.
For this reason, I have to record your previous injuries, current state / pain levels before the appointment (eg if you went to a different practitioner or medical professional and present to me with pain from said treatment), as well as after. As Somatic Movement Education and Clinical Somatic Education involves no manipulations or other external force methods, what we do in a lesson is entirely governed by your communication with me. You sign a consent form before your first lesson which states that any discomfort should immediately reported so we are able to change or stop the movements.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You also have the right to receive a copy of all notes I have taken in your appointments. Please email me, if you would like to obtain your notes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Your contact information
When you purchase lessons online, we will retain your contact information (email address, physical address, phone number) for our records to fulfill your order.
Any health information are stored securely in writing and need to be retained for 7 years after your last appointment according to our business insurance policy. You have the right to request all information we hold. Please send an email to email@example.com if you would like to request the info.
How we protect your data
We do not share any personal details with third parties, besides how this is laid out above. We never share any health information unless you request this in writing.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
We are required to securely store any client notes taken in private appointments and classes for a minimum of 7 years to comply with insurance agreements. This is because clients can still make a claim 6 years after a lesson, which is why we have to keep notes about pain levels, reaction to movement lesson, base line pain levels and medical history, although what we provide is non-invasive, not considered a medical treatment and purely educational, based on movements you do already in your daily life.
